As an ordained minister, Marvin has served as a college chaplain, hospital chaplain, ACSI Christian school administrator, and church pastor in both Southern California and Kansas. After stepping out of the lead pastor role at Wellington First Assembly, Pastor Marvin has served as a transitional pastor for Reach Church (Pratt), New Life (Newton), and Douglas Ave (Wichita).
Pastor Marvin also teaches for AGKSOM (the Assembly of God Kansas School of Ministry) teaching the Level 2 class - ACTS, and the level 3 class - Hebrew Poetry and Wisdom Literature.
As a co-vocational pastor, Marvin teaches the Autism Focus / Communication Disorder class at Campus High School (Haysville USD 261). Marvin also teaches as an adjunct instructor in the Masters of Special Education program for Fort Hays State University.
Marvin is active in the local special needs / disability community, co-founding the AGK Enabled Disability Ministry and serving on the boards of Ability Point, Unstoppable God Ministries, the Transition Council for South Central Kansas, and the KSDE Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC). In 2024, Marvin ran for Kansas State Board of Education.
